Alright, I have a problem. It’s not a huge problem…but it’s a problem nonetheless.
…I suck at grammar.
There I said it. I suck! I suck at spelling (thank god for spellcheck and autocorrect..sometimes…) and I super duper suck at grammar.
So since I have a new story nearly completed, I’m looking for a beta. Mike reads them all and gives feedback on them, but the grammar things seems to escape him to a degree as well.
So if anyone would like to help a girl out…please please pleeeeeeeeeease let me know.
And for the second thing, I’m rapidly running out of spotlights. So if y’all know of any authors you’d like to read about-or if you’re an author and would like to be featured-let me know. Any and all recommendations are welcome!
Thank you lovelies! And I will be back tomorrow with another author spotlight…..and it’s a good one!!!
I will volunteer for the author thingie. I would also volunteer for the beta thingie, but I don’t know if I can be of use, considering I use betas for my work. I will reboot this and see if anyone can help, it is how I got some betas.

Why thank you! Shoot me an email and I’ll get you the questions. I thought I massaged you before, but…sigh. This is apart of the problem. I massaged so many authors and only some have responded, and then I forgot a few that I intended to…ya know. :) anyways, email is kelpieskorner@gmail.com. :o)

I was almost an English teacher so I can pop my hand up if you like. I do occasionally miss things but I understand basic grammar, sentence structure and spelling. (Keep in mind I’m Aussie so may occasionally accidentally ‘correct’ a word to Aussie spelling.)

How long is your story (i.e. how quickly would the whole thing need to be beta’d?) Spelling, grammar and sentence structure are my specialties, but I probably couldn’t get 100 pages corrected in a weekend. Just let me know what your needs are time-wise and if you’re interested.
BTW, did you receive my answers to the author spotlight questions?

I did. I haven’t scheduled it yet…I’m woefully behind. But hopefully all the ones I have will be scheduled in the coming few days. I’ll let you know when it’s going to post :). And the story isn’t too long so far…6 chapter at about 3 pages a chapter so far. Aiming to make it about 10-11 chapters, not long chapters. I’d probably post about a chapter a week. So if you’re still interested, shoot me an email. :)

No worries! I just never received a response, so after seeing this request I was worried you might not have gotten it. I’ll email you re: the beta request, though. :)

I would love to help. If there is one thing I love to do, it’s correcting people’s grammar. That sounds so odd but it’s also true.

Hi! Unfortunately I am not beta material but I do have an author who I think should be spotlighted. Her name is Carroll E. Stewart. She is writing a story on FF right now called Preemptive Strike-Season Five the Finale. It is an awesome story and has been nominated for a Fangreader’s Award in the Jason Stackhouse category. She also has written about 12 other stories in the SVM realm and they are awesome too. For some reason her audience is quite small and I really think that she needs more followers as well as more people who would vote for her for a Fangreader”s Award. As I said she is on FF (Fanfiction.net 8359653) and she has a WP account too. I think that as a lesser known author she and we would benefit from her exposure. Thanks for being there. :)

Hi! I am not beta material but I would like to suggest an author to spotlight. Carroll E. Stewart is writing an awesome story currently posted on FF. It is called Preemptive Strike-TB Season Five the Finale. It is currently nominated for a Fangreader’s Award in the Jason Stackhouse category. She also have several other previously written stories in the SVM universe that are wonderful too. In spite of all of this she has a relatively small following and I would like to help remedy that. It would be great if more people read her works and even voted for her in the Fangreader’s Awards.. Since she is a lesser known author with a small following she would benefit from any exposure she can get. She is on Fan Fiction.net 8359653 and she has her own WP site too at Carroll E. Stewart@wordpress.com. I dearly love her work and think that she deserves all the attention she can get. Thanks for being there! :)

Morggy is another author. http://m.fanfiction.net/u/83000/ I tried to see if you already did a spotlight on her. Her current story Offshore is great. It’s all human set in the 1920’s. l j Clark is another one.
I read quite a bit. Kids are grown. My hubby works out of town. It is just my dog, my phone and I most of the time. I usually read on my iPhone. It’s just handy for me. Although typing on it is usually a pain. Unfortunately my reviews are usually short and full of mistakes. Auto correct is really a pain.
