Summary: “Make it stop!” she screams, the pictures in her mind getting more vivid. Pictures of evil things, monsters that lurk in the dark, usually in between the pages of horror novels, but are real—they’re there. They’re here. They’re real, and they want out… Clary’s in a mental hospital, tortured and trapped in her own mind. Rated M for violence and language. A little dark.
My oh-so-humble thoughts
Holy hell! This was dark. Like seriously dark. But in such a weirdly delicious way. Like the entire plot is so twisted…I had to stop reading at one point cause I was cringing so hard. Yeah. But it’s so spectacularly well written that I had to continue.
I feel so much for these characters and she writes in such a way that I absolutely feel like…I just wanna go wrap them in a hug. Even the evil ones. It’s kind of an accomplishment when I want to hug the actually evil villain. Yeah. And not in a Loki kinda way, because let’s face it Tom just made the Loki the most lovable-y mischievous villain ever. But that’s sorta what this girl’s created.
It’s worth the cringes and horrified gasps that you’ll probably emit, so I’m telling you—go read! Go leave her some love cause holy frickin hell!!!
